Health facilities roles in measuring progress of universal health coverage

Outlined in Sustainable Development Goal 3.8, universal health coverage (UHC) ensures all people can access affordable and equitable essential services without facing economic challenges. Advised by the World Health Organization (WHO), countries strengthen their systems subsequently UHC establishing a robust system on framework of service delivery; workforce; information; medical products, vaccines technologies; financing; leadership governance. By achieving UHC, progress other health-related goals provide for healthier children, stronger workforce long-term development. As announced Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina 2011, Bangladesh has remained committed towards through implementation programs that increase availability financial accessibility services. To produce information regarding contribution to specifically work its facilities, produced 2017 facilities survey (BHFS). Based qualitative analysis, BHFS provides substantial presence within different locations. However, inadequately addresses components contribute services, including utilization, patient load, quality care burden. Subsequently, does not comprehensive evaluation UHC. Arguably, future must address these topics incorporate multidisciplinary approach successfully implement This would stakeholders economists, public figures politicians challenges such as burden, distrust, qualified training providers.
